 Intrusion detection is a real-time analysis of the behavior and interactions of a computing device (e.g. server, router, etc) to determine whether penetration has occurred or is likely. Vulnerability analysis (penetration testing) is an analysis of system weaknesses. Intrusion detection and vulnerability analysis are essential to an effective security plan. AEC Group offers penetration testing for those customers that want to determine if an external organization can breach one’s security and access information from one’s private network (“ethical hacking”). During this process AEC uses the tools and methods that hackers would use to gain control or access protected systems and protected information. AEC Group also offers IDS assessments. This assessment can be performed as an al-a-carte service as needed, however it is included in our standard Penetration Testing. This assessment is performed to evaluate the ability of a client’s IDS equipment to report non-authorized attempts to access an organizations network and/or data. |
